Comments on the show: “We collect art. We don’t invest in art. Living with art is surely one of life’s greatest pleasures. We mostly collect artists since WWII – and are particularly fond of the Abstract Expressionists. Many find our art challenging. A dear friend described an unusual work he particularly disliked by saying “It’s the best piece of its kind I’ve ever seen.” Another friend looked at a recent acquisition and asked if we paid for it or if the artist paid us to take it.” Jane Levy

Richard is president of a diverse manufacturing and distribution company and Jane is active in the community in support of the visual arts, architecture and preservation efforts’.”

A day in the life of Big Sister and professional photographer Stacey Haines and Little Sister Brittany Smith, age 13.

Comments on the show

“I feel so honored to be able to share this collaboration with the community.  For me this show is not about my photography but about the spirit of the amazing relationship I have had with an extraordinary young lady named Brittany.  Contained in the photos and excerpts of her scrapbooks are the record of our some of the time we have spent together weaving our relationship into an unbreakable life - bond.

On the surface we seem very different - we are from different countries, different skin colors and have many different traditions.  But we are sisters.”  Stacey Haines
