The Future Fund is a Fresh Approach to Philanthropy

Each Future Fund member contributes to an endowment fund that makes grants to launch new projects and initiatives that are selected by Future Fund members. By pooling thier funds together, emerging leaders are given a "seat at the table" in Greensboro and are able to create an impact far greater than each individual could do on their own. The bigger the endowment, the bigger the impact. An investment in the Future Fund positively - and definitely! - shapes Greensboro's future.

Sponsor a Nonprofit for a Grant!

One of the perks of Future Fund membership is sponsoring a nonprofit to receive a grant. Each year, up to 10% of the full grantmaking budget may be allocated to Member-Sponsored grants. These grants DO NOT need to fit the Future Fund's overall grantmaking theme, and the maximum grant amount for a Member-Sponsored grant is $2,000. For a nonprofit to be eligible for a Member-Sponsored grant, a current Future Fund member must complete an application (available for download at right) and submit it to the Grants Committee for approval. Applications are due on May 30th and December 1st.
