The Community Foundation welcomes grant requests to the Community Grants Program from nonprofit organizations that are located in or provide service to the greater Greensboro area of North Carolina; and are classified as nonprofit charitable organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code or are affiliated with another tax-exempt organization.
The Community Foundation does not award grants from the Community Grants Program for individuals, debt retirement, political organizations or campaigns, for-profit entities, capital campaigns, programming that promotes religious instruction or doctrine, or endowments.

Grantseeker Orientation Workshops are offered for nonprofits interested in applying for a grant from the Community Foundation. These workshops introduce participants to the Community Foundation and to the procedures for submitting a proposal to the Community Foundation. The workshops are free; however, preregistration is required. See the Grant Guidelines for additional information. Dates and times for 2008 are:
Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
To register, fill out the online form below or fill out the registration form in the Guidelines and mail to CFGG at P.O. Box 20444, Greensboro, NC 27420 or e-mail grants@cfgg.org. NO PHONE CALLS, PLEASE. Include in your email the date and time of the workshop you prefer, your organization name, your name, and your contact information.
