Through the generosity of Community Foundation donors, we’re able to offer more than two dozen scholarships that recognize achievement, respond to financial need and help us build a future generation of community leaders. The criteria, application process and annual award amount vary, so explore the details below.

College and University Scholarships

Pre-College Scholarships

Bill Lee Memorial Scholarship

For senior athletes participating in the Little Four Invitational Tournament who are recommended by their coaches.

Blanche Palley Memorial Scholarship

For minority students with limited financial resources who are graduating from a Guilford County High School and plan to attend a North Carolina state university. Download the application form.

Camberly Noel Holliday Performing Arts Scholarship

For current or rising 7th-12th graders who live in the Triad, exemplify a passion for the performing arts and have a minimum of two years experience. Download the application form.

Charlie Harville Memorial Scholarship

Available to senior baseball players attending Guilford County high schools who are recommended by their coaches.

Construction Professionals Network Scholarship

For future leaders of the construction industry attending Western Carolina, North Carolina State University or UNC-Charlotte. Up to three qualified N.C. students will receive a one-time $2,000 award. Download the application form.

David Caldwell Scholarship Awards

For rising seniors at David Caldwell Academy, Greensboro College and Guilford College who are committed to academic excellence and whose work focuses on religion and/or history.

Evans Memorial Scholarship

Priority is given to students who live in the McLeansville area and are pursuing an undergraduate degree in science or the humanities. The applicant must also demonstrate financial need and academic achievement. $1,000 scholarships are renewable if the recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average of 2.75. Greensboro Housing Authority Scholarship

Provides financial aid to students who reside in Greensboro Housing Authority communities

Helen and Anthony Guidone Scholarship

Open to Jeannette Senior High School seniors (Jeannette, Pennsylvania) who demonstrate good character, financial need and a strong work ethic. $2,500 per year for four years to students in good standing.

Hunter Byers Memorial Award

Candidates are nominated by Page High School teachers based on scholastic aptitude, character and the respect earned among teachers and peers.

Jason Christopher James Memorial Scholarship

Open to seniors graduating from Guilford County high schools who have demonstrated special interest and aptitude in foreign affairs, service to country, living and working abroad, and the international relations field. Download the application form.

John Carlton Myatt Writing Scholarship Fund

Open to a Greensboro graduating senior who displays a creative, innovative and courageous spirit in writing and exhibits those skills through school and community activities to effect change.

John R. Kernodle, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

For seniors graduating from Guilford County schools who agree to serve for at least three years as a full-time teacher in N.C. public schools. Special consideration will be given to students attending North Carolina colleges and universities and to those who agree to teach in Guilford County. Download the application form.

Nicholas Samuel Fragola Art Scholarship

Candidates are nominated by the Art Department teachers at Grimsley High School.

Ralph Frederick Memorial Scholarship

For deserving students attending Guilford Day School based on financial need.

The Ivan Battle Scholarship at the Music Academy of North Carolina

Music scholarships are available for students of all ages, interests and proficiency levels. Auditions are held each May for upcoming year.

The William J. Jones Memorial Scholarship

Provides financial assistance for students attending Guilford Day School.

Thomas and Bettie O'Briant Memorial Scholarship

Available to students graduating from a Guilford County high school with a preference towards those who receive no other financial assistance. Download the application form.

Triad Business and Professional Guild/James Allen Broach Scholarship Fund

Open to full-time undergraduates attending a four-year college or university in Guilford or Forsyth County (rising sophomore or higher) based on academic performance and active involvement in fighting bigotry aimed at gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons. Download the application form.

Westchester Academy/Kumar Debate and Chemistry Awards

For students of Westchester Academy.

Wolfgang Häfele Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to graduating high school seniors who are children of full-time employees of Häfele America Co. Recipients are determined by the Selection Committee of the Community Foundation. Download the application form.
