Making a Lasting Mark: The Stanley and Dorothy Frank Family Foundation

Stanley Frank embodied the essence of the American Dream. Prior to his death at age 91, he built a thriving family business and earned a reputation as a vibrant and forward-thinking community leader.

Stanley put his commitment to the community into action as a founding member of the Community Foundation board – knowing that a permanent endowment could make an impact for decades to come.

When Stanley and his wife launched the Stanley and Dorothy Frank Family Foundation, they turned to the Community Foundation for the expert financial and administrative management they needed to accomplish their giving objectives in perpetuity.

“Stanley told us about the opportunities the community gave him when he came to Greensboro as a young man,” relates Community Foundation President Walker Sanders. “He wanted more than anything to give back and create opportunities for those in need. It is an honor for us to help accomplish that goal.”
